Months ago, in the infancy of Revival Living, we knew we wanted to celebrate and showcase this business with our closest family and friends. We also knew we wanted to create a space that would represent us and our vision for Revival Living...reviving old pieces, mixing them with new treasures while using home decor in unexpected ways. Wouldn't you know that Stacie would happen to have a 5,000 square foot warehouse in her backyard?
And we decided to take over a part of it! First order of business was moving all the "stuff" out, which thanks to Big Event at Texas A&M University that was done very quickly (like in one day!)
The next big hurdle was figuring out how to make it look less like a warehouse and more like a "home"! So we called in our trusty painter, Salvador. We don't take it lightly that Salvador in translation means Savior! We chose to paint a couple of the walls black so that some of our "finds" would really contrast against the stark black. I'm pretty sure at times Salvador thinks we are insane...and maybe we are!
Our handy husbands built moveable walls for us...complete with casters. This way we can always increase or decrease the size of our showroom based on our needs at the time. We are so thankful for our husbands and the way they truly bring our dreams to reality!
We spent a day painting all of them, with no make up on (GASP!) Later on in the day, Emily found herself covered in oil-based dark blue paint, but we discovered coconut oil will take that right off!
We even convinced our children to help. We may or may not have offered to leave Revival Living to her one day...after all, she is the oldest!
It truly was a family affair... the littlest of the Revival Living offspring enjoyed rides on the scissor lift with her daddy! Our men scissored up the tops of the warehouse to make our lighting dreams come true.
Up next...LOTS of projects to prepare for the big LAUNCH! Check back soon!
